My class mates gave name on this collage, Dark Mary Poppins.

  1. I love how the picture looks chaotic yet peaceful at the same time. What came to my mind is that song ”Its raining men”.

  3. I’m immediately drawn to the red umbrella; I love the brightness of it, reminds me of Mary Poppins. There are so many little things in this picture to look at; I feel like every time I look I find something new. I also think the lights from the street really add to the bottom of the collage.

  5. It may have something to do with the fact that I just got back from Disneyland and have had the Mary Poppins soundtrack playing non-stop ever since but it makes me think of a new take on Travares' character.

  6. This picture has a really dark and gloomy feel to it, and I’m strangely drawn to it. I think everything works together to bring out a final image with a pretty overwhelming feeling of dread.

  8. Fairy tale came to this small night town. If you wake up in the middle of that night you might meet some of these fabulous characters.

  9. This piece really has a dreamy feeling. It has spooky feeling, but the umbrella has fun floating feeling also at the same time. It’s mysterious and interesting to look at. I’m really drawn to them : )

  10. Wow! I am realy moved by this one. For some reason, first thing that came to my mind was “Gone with a wind”. However, I guess this collage represents a lady who is imagining a “prince” falling from the sky ……

  12. I think this is one of my favorites. I'm not sue if the man is falling from the sky or floating away. From the general dark feeling I get a real sense of a lost love for this woman. I feel sad for her.

  13. One of the best creations for this assignment. The lights crossing the collage make me feel are taking away the people with the umbrellas. The lady in black looks very mysterious and spooky. The tone of the sky is the right one; it flares with the whole idea.

  14. Beautiful, complex, layered image. Exceptionally well composed. A dream-like presentation of a city at night with ghostly figures. A kind of updated Mary Poppins. I could see this piece hanging in a gallery.

  16. I like the predominance of the dark colors matched with the whimsical central figure; it's like what might happen if Josh Whedon wrote a new screenplay for Mary Poppins.

  17. Very cool how it gives me a lonely heartbreaking mood. Gives me a feeling after someone is having tough times and get over someone
